📈 December by the Numbers (and the Vibes)

Last month was huge for LazArt Studios and the Draughtnaut community:

• the 1010wins small business challege was a phenominal experience!  honored to have been selected as a finalist!

• over 100 new followers joined the ranks            (hi, welcome!) and tons of engagement!

🛠️ Behind the Scenes: Leveling Up the Studio

While the feeds were buzzing, a lot of December happened off-camera too.

The Etsy shop got a full revamp, and a big chunk of time went into refining future logistics, tightening workflows, and laying the groundwork for new partnerships that will shape what Draughtnauts becomes in 2026 and beyond.

It’s not flashy stuff… but it’s the kind of work that turns a passion project into a real-deal operation.

January is all about one thing: the Draughtnauts Kickstarter.

We’re gearing up for a mid-to-late January launch, and over the next few weeks you’ll start seeing:

🎨 New Filament, New Settings, New Studio Exclusives

Fresh filament combinations + refined print settings = brand-new Studio Exclusives entering the lineup.

📖 Story Mode Initiated

The Draughtnaut galaxy is officially expanding beyond the tabletop.

I’ve begun writing the first chaptered story release in Story Mode — a serialized narrative project launching as a Draughtnauts Lore Archive: a living eBook/eComic saga.

Monthly drops are planned, and the long-term goal is to invite artists, writers, and creators from the community to help shape the universe. This is just the opening crawl.

💬 Discord Server Incoming

A dedicated Draughtnauts Discord server is currently under construction.

This will be the home base for:

• Community discussions

• Lore talk

• WIP sneak peeks

It has been a 'lil while 'Nauteers but finally back here with all the news and updates from an insanely busy Sept/oct!

ToyconNJ 2025 was our first show appearance in over six years—and the response was out of this world. We met collectors, creators, and curious travelers from across the galaxy (and New Jersey), all eager to meet the Draughtnauts in person. Seeing new fans light up as they discovered the game for the first time was nothing short of cosmic validation.

A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by the booth, shared stories, picked up sets, and joined the growing Draughtnaut Legion. You helped make this event a massive success and marked a turning point for LazArt Studios as we shift from collectible art into a full-fledged tabletop experience.

The Draughtnauts Board Game was the talk of the show—and we’re thrilled to say the next phase is already underway. We’ve expanded the official Royal Hall Edition game mat line to include new color variants and updated artwork, giving every match that premium, interstellar feel.

Each gameboard is now a mat made of 100% neoprene, produced in partnership with Printify. This collaboration means faster turnaround times, higher-quality prints, and more control over design tweaks as we expand the universe.

Hey Draughtnauts fam—wow, it’s been a minute.

If you’ve been wondering what’s been happening behind the scenes, the short answer is: a lot. Between recalibrating production plans, designing final packaging, tweaking listings, and putting out more metaphorical fires than I care to count, it’s been a whirlwind. But here’s the big news—we’re almost there.

After a ton of reflection (and printer maintenance), I made the tough but necessary call to part ways with Shop3D as a production partner. While they’re great at what they do, it just wasn’t the right fit for the kind of quirky, detailed, and collectible work I wanted to produce. So... I reimagined everything.

And now? I’m launching fully independent. That means all models are printed, packed, and quality-checked in-house. It's a smaller scale—but with way more heart (and fewer misprints). There’ll be limited runs, but each piece will be something I personally stand behind.

Still, welcome! Whether you stumbled in through a mysterious warp gate or followed the pixelated trail from Instagram, we’re pumped to have you here. Things are finally moving fast behind the scenes, and we’ve got some juicy updates to share.

First up: we're officially working with Shop3D to bring the Draughtnauts to life! Our first production samples are in the works right now, and they’ll be landing late April!  These test prints are the final step before we hit “go” on production, plus the Studio Exclusive sets—premium Draughtnauts you can only get directly from us.

Even cooler? We're kicking off the Clan reveals this month! The first official Draughtnaut Clan will be revealed on Tuesday, April 8 and trust us, they’re bringing the heat. A new Clan will be announced each week, so get your gear ready and start assembling your squad.
